Celebrating 45 Years!
The Anderson (SC) Alumnae Chapter hosted a very special Charter Week celebration in honor of our 45 years of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service and Social Action in the Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens communities. Kicking of on May 15, 2023 through May 21, 2023. Each day involved education, celebration, and recognition of our trailblazers and tri-county community. We look forward to the next 45 years and thank everyone for their continued support!
Heart Health Awareness for Student Athletes
Our virtual session hosted chapter and community members as we heard from Lekesha Benson, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the NOLA Network, an SC based non-profit helping improve educational and health outcomes and prevent health disparities.
Sneaker Ball
Dressed to impress from head to cool kicks, we celebrated our charter members, enjoyed a night of dinner and dancing, and received proclamations from the mayors of Anderson and Clemson city councils!
Parade & Sisterhood Social
Following our May Chapter Meeting, we paraded by our beloved Soror Annette Jenkins home. Initiated into the Gamma Chi chapter (Claflin University) on Dec 10, 1948, she looks forward to celebrating 75 years in DST this December!
Sunday Worship
Sorors worshipped at New Holly Light Missionary Baptist Church and dined together prior to our May Week Celebration of our area youth.
